Tech Mecca, Inc. is based in Carmel, NY and provides Technical Audio Engineering, Consulting and Design Services to Recording Artists, Producers, Musicians, Engineers, Private and Commercial Music Recording Studios, Post Production Facilities and Audio Equipment Manufacturers. The various technical activities and services we provide in any given month, quarter or year will vary to meet changing demands from a wide spectrum of customers.
2000... registered TECHNICALAUDIO.COM domain name. The new domain continued a web site that Klett started in 1995 called SINGULARITY.COM. In 2000 Klett started doing some recording and specialized mix work for surround and high resolution mastering targeted to high resoultion DVD-A and SACD release, the first being one of the first DVD-A high resolution surround releases, Willie Nelson's Night and Day review
1999... Tech Mecca Inc. resumed business in Carmel, NY
1998 Year End... The businesses together outgrow the shop space... Manhattan Audio Consultants took over the entire space on Times Square. Purple Audio had moved to Long Island City in 1997. Tech Mecca Inc. closed down it's presence in Manhattan in December 1998 and the company idled for several months so it could be moved and reorganized in Carmel, NY.
1997... Tech Mecca was Incorporated to provide audio and recording facility turnkey and to coordinate and integrate the services and activities of several more specialized companies and technical service providers into a larger full service organization (or "modular company"). The business started out sharing a 3500 square foot shop space with Manhattan Audio Consultants and Purple Audio on the 9th floor of 723 Seventh Avenue on Times Square in Manhattan and around the corner for the 48th street music store strip. Allied businesses included Manhattan Audio Consultants, Manhattan Wiring, Purple Audio, Singularity Enterprises, and others...
1996... after a number of years working in close alliance with a number of audio companies and technical audio service providers the Tech Mecca concept (a modular technical services organism) was launched in the fall of 1996 with the acquisition of a 3500 square foot floor of 723 Seventh Avenue in New York on the corner of 48th Street and Seventh Avenue in midtown Manhattan.
Prior to Tech Mecca... Singularity Enterprises, Inc.
1987 to 2002... Singularity provided technical audio engineering consultation and design services to manufacturers, recording studios, post production facilities, artists, producers, engineers and others looking for high quality professional audio solutions. Singularity ceased doing business at the end of year 2002. Remaining activities, clients and projects were assumed by Tech Mecca, Inc.
1987... Klett incorporated Singularity Enterprises, Inc., based in Carmel, NY
